Medina Beekeepers 2025 Beginner Class covers all the important information you need to enter the exciting World of Beekeeping.
The Medina County Beekeepers holds an annual Beekeeping for Beginners Class in Feb & Mar each year. The class covers what to do before you get your bees, how much will it cost, what equipment is needed to keep bees, how to get started, basic care and feeding of honey bees, honey bee colony growth and development, management skills for summer, fall, winter and next spring, troubleshooting when something isn’t right, good neighbor tactics, and harvesting your crop.
We have two sessions in 2026. This is the Tuesday track sign-up. Classes will be Feb 24 and Mar 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:30 pm.
Cost for the class is $85 for an individual or $100 for a family. In addition to the class tuition, students receive a textbook, a one year membership in the Medina County Bee
